Tristan and Nana on the Spiral Jetty
Looking out at the Spiral Jetty with DadMy sister Halley had a friend getting married in August and convinced my mom to drive out with her so we got a visit and Tristan got to spend time with his Nana. It was a quick trip for them but we packed it full of adventure :P. My mom has been here several times but has never made it out to the Salt Lake. I've lived here for 8 years and had never been either. So we went to the Spiral Jetty way to heck and gone. It was an adventure for sure! It's on the North side of the lake which is about a 2 hour drive from our house, we got lost (a little) and the last part of the drive pretty much requires 4-wheel drive. It was after 5pm when we finally got there and we were all alone. It was quiet, peaceful and pretty.

The Spiral Jetty is a fun work of art to visit. Were you able to stop at Golden Spike to have Tristin see the trains or at ATK to see the cool rockets? Those are worth the trip if you are ever out there again. How nice it must have been to see your sister and mom again!
